US President Donald Trump said he won't allow Israel to annex West Bank even as Israel continues to intensify its offensive in Gaza. Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich recently called Gaza a "real estate bonanza", with Trump also having shown interest in revamping the territory. Palestinians have long sought Gaza, East Jerusalem and West Bank for a future Palestinian state.
