Ex-India head coach Ravi Shastri said he would have made Virat Kohli captain after India's tour of Australia 2024-25, in which they lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 1-3. "I feel sad that he's gone, and the way he's gone. I think it could have been handled better and there should have been more communication," Shastri added, referring to Kohli's Test retirement.
