The Indian Air Force has been deployed for rescue operation amid heavy rains in northeastern states, which triggered landslides and flash floods, killing at least 25 people. Home Minister Amit Shah dialled the chief ministers of Assam, Sikkim and Arunachal and assured them of every possible help to tackle any situation. Hundreds of tourists are stranded in the region.
