The IAF was pressed into a rescue operation after a request by the state administration of Arunachal Pradesh as floods triggered by heavy rains wreaked havoc. As part of a critical humanitarian assistance and disaster relief mission, the IAF rescued 14 people stranded in the middle of the flooded Bomjir River in Arunachal Pradesh's Lower Dibang Valley.
