Mudra Gairola fulfilled her father's wish of becoming an IAS officer in her fifth UPSC CSE attempt. A doctor by profession, she was a gold medalist in her BDS course hut left her MDS degree mid-way to prepare for UPSC. She became an IPS in 2021 but attempted once more to crack UPSC with an AIR 53, and was allotted the West Bengal cadre.
