Senior IAS officer Rajeev Verma has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Delhi, according to a government order issued on Sunday. He will take charge on October 1. Verma will be replacing incumbent Dharmendra, who will retire on September 30. Rajeev Verma is a 1992-batch IAS officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre.
