The ICC has scrapped the two-tier World Test Championship (WTC) system idea, ESPNcricinfo reported. The plans to split nations into two tiers failed to gain widespread support, the report added. The doubts over whether a funding model could be implemented contributed to scuppering the two-tier model, the report stated.
