BJP's Raebareli MLA Aditi Singh alleged that municipal officials in the area were extorting bribes from vendors. "This is my city. If someone threatens vendors or journalists, says they will hit them five times with shoes, we will hit them ten times," Aditi added. The BJP leader stated that she would lodge an FIR against the officials accused of extortion.
