The first overseas campus of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) was inaugurated in Dubai International Academic City. The ceremony was presided over by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education of India. Crown Prince hailed the inauguration as a symbol of the deepening India-UAE collaboration.
