A recent IISc study sheds light on a key problem in Type 2 Diabetes: glucose traffic jams. Researchers found that tiny protein gates, called GLUTs, don't move properly in diabetic cells. This slows sugar entry and reduces insulin release, especially for the body's quick-release insulin. This can pave a new way how diabetes could be treated.
