Pallav Kulhari, an IIT Kanpur alumnus and consultant, reveals how his father’s silence over his IIT rank, medals, and marathons became his greatest gift. By not applauding his successes, his father taught him to detach self-worth from societal trophies. "He didn’t want me to tie my self-worth to external achievements. And it worked really well," said Kulhari.
