IIT Bombay researchers developed an autonomous control system for drone swarms. Using only on-board cameras to "see" their neighbours (bearing-only), the drones maintain formation without GPS. This scheme is the first with mathematical proof of stability for complex "underactuated" VTOL drones, enabling reliable, stealthy navigation in GPS-denied zones during complex manoeuvres.
