Scientists at IIT Guwahati have developed a low-cost way to produce human insulin using the safe bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens. Unlike the common E coli method that forms insoluble lumps, this system yields soluble insulin, cutting costs, simplifying purification, and offering a sustainable solution for global diabetes care.
