IIT Guwahati researchers have created a Phase-Selective Organogelator (PSOG) that detects kerosene in petrol and cleans oil spills from water. The gel selectively traps oil molecules, forming a semi-solid for easy removal. Safe and eco-friendly, it could transform fuel testing and oil spill cleanup.
