The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) said that the launch of the Waqf UMEED portal is illegal and constitutes contempt of court. The president of AIMPLB said it is unfortunate that the government is launching the portal and making the registration of Waqf properties mandatory despite the Waqf Amendment Act, 2025 being under consideration in the Supreme Court.
