Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted challenges in coastal security amid instability in India's neighbouring countries. Addressing Indian Coast Guard Commanders' Conference, Singh said, "Refugee influx, illegal migrants and maritime activities make our coastal security challenging." He added, "Actions of our neighbouring countries aren't hidden from anyone....It affects our maritime region."
