Forest officials of West Kamrup seized a vehicle carrying teak worth ₹2 lakh after a chase from Shantipur to Batakuchi, Boko in Assam. The driver fled, abandoning the vehicle loaded with cut teak. Officials said the crackdown is part of efforts to curb timber smuggling and protect forest resources.
