The IMD issued red alert for heavy rain over the next few hours in parts of J&K, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Heavy rainfall triggered landslides and mudslides in parts of Jammu. Almost all rivers and streams are flowing above or close to danger mark, officials said. Meanwhile, in Himachal, at least 68 roads have been shut due to heavy rainfall.
