International Monetary Fund asked Pakistan government to remove the Finance Secretary from its central bank State Bank of Pakistan's (SBP) board and also recommended amending a law, reports said. The suggestions are aimed at revoking Pakistan government's powers to order inspection of commercial banks. IMF has also asked for immediate filling of two vacancies for deputy governor's post at SBP.
