Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Delhi government, told the Supreme Court on Thursday that immunisation won't stop dogs "from mutilating children." Mehta stated, "Seven lakh dog bites happen every year (in India), which is an average of about 10,000 dog bites every day." The court reserved its verdict in a plea seeking a stay on stray dog relocation.
