Union Minister Kiren Rijiju greeted the 14th Dalai Lama on his 90th birthday and said, "As we mark this milestone, it is important to honour the deep historical relationship between India and Tibet." He mentioned how Indian Buddhist masters Śāntarakṣita and Padmasambhava planted the seeds of Dharma in Tibetan soil, which are now rooted in the Nalanda tradition.
