Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that, for the first time, a telecom system running on Made-in-India chips has received TEC certification. He called it a "big leap for India’s semiconductor story". The TEC certification, granted by the Department of Telecommunications, is a benchmark ensuring telecom equipment meets strict safety and performance norms.
