DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran objected to extending translation services to six new languages, including Sanskrit, in Parliament. He asked, "Why are you wasting taxpayers' money on language which is not even communicable? Why should...taxpayers' money be wasted because of your RSS ideology?" To this, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, "In which country are you living?...You've problem with Sanskrit."
