India and US have agreed to sign a 10-year defence partnership framework when Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth meet later this year, a Pentagon spokesperson has confirmed. The Pentagon announced the decision a day after Singh and Hegseth held a phone conversation. Hegseth also met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at the Pentagon on Tuesday.
