While addressing the nation on the occasion of Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi said, "India had decided to achieve 50% clean energy by 2030." He added, "But look at the strength of my fellow citizens, look at the power of their resolve...we achieved the 50% clean energy target in 2025 itself, five years ahead of schedule."
