President Droupadi Murmu, in her address to the nation on the eve of Independence Day, said India is among the world's fastest-growing major economies, with a GDP growth of 6.5%. "Even amid stress in the global economy, demand at home is pacing ahead," she stated. President Murmu added, "All key indicators show the economy in the pink of health."
