After US President Donald Trump imposed 25% tariffs and penalty on India, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called India an "ally" and a "strategic partner". "Like anything in foreign policy, you're not going to align 100% of the time on everything," said Rubio, when asked if Trump was "upset" with India getting "great portion" of discounted oil from Russia.
