Days after US President Donald Trump's 50% tariffs on India came into effect, US Senator Lindsey Graham said, "India is experiencing the cost of supporting (Russian President Vladimir) Putin." Graham accused India, China, Brazil and other countries of supporting "Putin's war machine" by buying "cheap Russian oil", adding it has "resulted in innocent civilians, including children, being killed."
