US President Donald Trump's Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the "most perverse" part of India buying discounted Russian crude oil is that Europe buys oil that India refines. "Europeans are financing the war against them(selves)," said Bessent. He quoted Trump and said the US is "willing to do more" to stop Russia-Ukraine war but "Europeans need to join us".
