On July 11, 2025, DRDO and the Indian Air Force successfully flight-tested the indigenous Astra Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) with an indigenous RF seeker from a Su-30 MKI off Odisha's coast. Two missiles were launched against high-speed unmanned aerial targets under varying conditions, and both achieved pinpoint accuracy, showcasing Astra's advanced targeting capabilities.
