Pakistan's Indus River System Authority (IRSA) accepted that India cutting Chenab river's flow after Indus Waters Treaty's suspension would increase water shortages across the country. IRSA claimed the move will also impact kharif crops, which are already estimated to face 21% shortage for the remaining early kharif season. Water shortage in late kharif season estimated to be 7%, IRSA stated.
