India established its first-ever defence manufacturing plant in Morocco under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, marking a major step in expanding its defence footprint abroad. The facility focused on producing key defence equipment and technologies, strengthening bilateral ties and supporting Morocco’s defence modernisation. This move reflected India’s growing role as a defence exporter.
