India is working with Myanmar's Kachin Independence Army (KIA) to secure rare earth supplies, Reuters reported. Samples will be tested by Indian firms including IREL and Midwest Advanced Materials. The move, rare for India's direct engagement with a non-state entity, seeks to reduce China dependence-India imports ~90% of its rare earth magnets from Beijing.
