India is facing a "superbug explosion", with 83% patients carrying antibiotic-resistant bacteria, a global study by Hyderabad's AIG Hospitals has said. The study published in 'The Lancet' warned that India is at a "critical tipping point" in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Easy access to antibiotics and rampant over-the-counter sales have accelerated the crisis, doctors said.
