India has formally bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad, presenting its proposal to the Evaluation Committee of Commonwealth Sport. Led by Gujarat's Minister of Sports, Harsh Sanghavi, and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president, PT Usha on September 23, the bid pitched Ahmedabad as a compact, sustainable and inclusive games hub.
