India and France are set to collaborate on a ₹61,000 crore deal to co-develop fighter jet engines, marking a major step in defence and technology partnership. The deal involves Safran and India’s DRDO working jointly to power future Indian fighter jets, including AMCA. The project aims to boost indigenous capabilities, reduce reliance on imports, and enhance India’s aerospace ecosystem.
