For the first time, a school building in Noida has been constructed using sugarcrete, which is a construction block made from sugarcane waste. This paves the way to use alternatives to soil-made bricks in the construction of buildings in India, which is one of largest producers of sugarcane in the world. Sugarcrete has been developed by University of East London.
