India accounted for over 1,756 crore visits to pirated sites in 2024, making up 8.1% of global piracy traffic second only to the US, says MUSO's latest report. While piracy of films, music and software declined, publishing piracy rose 4.3%, driven mainly by Manga. The report notes unmet demand as a key reason why users turn to piracy.
