India has notified a missile test in the Bay of Bengal between September 24 and 25, expected to feature a system with a range below 1,500 km. This comes after the recent validation of the Agni-5 intermediate-range ballistic missile, capable of striking up to 5,000 km. In recent weeks, India also successfully tested its nuclear-capable Prithvi-II and Agni-I missiles.
