The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has launched a national 'rare blood donor registry' to help patients with uncommon blood types who require frequent transfusions. Developed by National Institute of Immunohaematology (NIIH), Mumbai, the registry will be integrated with e-Raktakosh, the digital platform that currently provides real-time information on blood availability across India.
