Around 85% of digital payment transactions in India are carried out through Unified Payments Interface (UPI), RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said. "About 20 billion transactions are made using UPI every month, representing a value equivalent to over $280 billion," he added. He credited UPI as a powerful catalyst that accelerates financial inclusion.
