The unemployment rate (UR) among males of age 15 years and above in India has declined to 5 per cent in August 2025, the lowest level observed since April 2025, according to figures released by the National Statistics Office on Monday. Urban male UR drops to 5.9%, rural males to 4.5% in Aug 2025.
