India is actively exploring inland deposits of rare earth elements (REEs) in states like Arunachal Pradesh and MP. A Ministry of Mines study highlighted notably high neodymium content in Arunachal's Papum Pare district. Other regions with REE-rich soils include Assam's Karbi Anglong and Meghalaya's Sung Valley. MP's Singrauli coalfields have also been found to contain "promising" REE deposits.
