India may allow sugar exports from October 1 as output and ethanol production remain strong. Ethanol supply is projected to hit a record 4.8 billion litres, with sugar output seen at 34.9 MMT vs consumption of ~29 MMT. The government aims to stabilise domestic prices while supporting cane farmers.
