French President Emmanuel Macron in a joint statement with his Brazilian counterpart Lula da Silva called for India, China and Brazil to pressure Russia into ending the war in Ukraine. Macron accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of starting the war and of not wanting a ceasefire. India has adopted a position advocating for peace in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
