US President Donald Trump's nominee for US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, said on Thursday that Trump wants India to stop buying Russian oil. He stated that Trump has imposed only a 25% tariff on India for buying Russian oil as against a proposal to impose up to 500% tariffs on secondary purchasing and reselling of the Russian oil.
