India has nominated Vadnagar, PM Narendra Modi's birthplace in Gujarat, to be assessed for UNESCO World Heritage status. The nomination, made on PM Modi's 75th birthday, is the first step in the process of evaluating the site's eligibility. Vadnagar, known for its 2,700-year-old continuous habitation, has been on UNESCO's Tentative List under the cultural category since 2022.
