India is observing National Space Day on August 23 to commemorate the Chandrayaan-3 mission. On this day in 2023, India successfully became the first country to soft land near the southern polar region of the Moon. The landing site was named Shiv Shakti Point. ISRO is leading the celebrations under the theme 'Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities'.
