NITI Aayog's CEO BVR Subrahmanyam said India offers a cheaper alternative to Apple's iPhone manufacturing plans compared to most countries. This comes after US President Donald Trump threatened Apple of "at least 25%" tariffs if it doesn't shift production from India to US. "What the tariff will be, is uncertain...Given the dynamics, we'll be cheap place to manufacture," said Subrahmanyam.
