India's consumer economy witnessed its highest festive sales during this year's Navratri in over a decade, Information and Broadcasting Ministry reported. This comes due to the GST reforms, which reduced tax on products, boosting "consumer confidence". Automobile and consumer electronics sectors saw the highest sales, with some brands and retailers reporting sales growth from 25% to 100%.
